1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has revealed the heartbreaking reason she will no longer be dating men.
The TLC star won the hearts of the world by showcasing her incredible weight loss journey on the American reality show over the past few years.
And now, she’s in the headlines again after revealing the results of her jaw-dropping transformation following a skin removal procedure.

But, what some fans won’t know is that Tammy went through a devastating loss just a few years ago after her husband tragically passed away aged just 40 years old in July, 2023.

Tammy previously shared that she had some of her late husband's ashes made into a necklace and a ring, which makes her feel like she's 'still connected to him in some way'.

The reality TV star, 38, first met Caleb at a weight loss rehabilitation facility in Ohio back in 2022 and the couple got married in November of that year, only a month after he proposed.
Despite the couple reportedly being estranged at the time of Caleb’s passing, Tammy told PEOPLE at the time: "He was my best friend and I loved him dearly.”
Fast forward to now and Tammy revealed she is dating a woman after coming out as pansexual back in 2021.
During the season seven premiere of her reality show in April 2025, Tammy let viewers know that she was dating someone new, who has now been revealed as a lady called Andrea Dalton.

The couple met on a dating app and Andrea is Tammy’s first relationship since Caleb died.
As she announced the happy news, she also shared the reason why she would never date a man again,
Tammy said: “I have been seeing someone for the past couple of months and it’s going pretty well.

“A few years ago I came out as pansexual. But after Caleb passing I just - I don’t want to be with men anymore.”
She added: “I think I want to approach this relationship different than I have in the past. So I haven’t told my family, because my family are gonna have something to say about it.”
Then, in a later episode, where viewers got to meet Andrea for the first time, Tammy revealed their love story.

Talking about how they met on a dating app, she said: "I had just got on there. I wasn’t on there very long, and I saw her and she saw me and we just started talking. And it’s been, like, every day since."
And in a confessional, Tammy beamed: “Andrea’s beautiful. I like everything about her. We’ve been getting very close."
According to Hello Magazine, in a now-deleted TikTok video, the reality star further elaborated on the subject.
Answering a fan's question, she said: "I was saying I was pansexual, but I kinda stopped messing with guys after my husband passed. So, I’m like a lesbian. I’m not a hater. Love is love.
“Everybody deserves love whether they’re gay, straight, trans, pan, bi, nonbinary, whatever. I’m just a lover."
