It didn't take long for Channel 4 viewers to rattle through every episode of the brand-new reality TV series titled Virgin Island.
In case you're unaware of the show's premise, it follows 12 adults aged between 22 and 30 who haven't had sex yet as they head to a luxury resort in Croatia to work with experts and therapists on overcoming their barriers around intimacy.
Some, however, seem to be making bigger strides than others as one contestant, called Zac, has clearly been finding a number of aspects of the process challenging.

Now, Monday's episode (26 May) saw one of the experts, Kat Slade, end a naked session with Zac as she told him to put his clothes back on after he made a particularly alarming comment towards her.
Following the airing of the episode, Kat has now broken her silence on the matter and explained why it 'cringed' her out so much.
Take a look:
For context, Kat is one of the show's surrogate partner therapists, who is 'dedicated to helping individuals move through physical and emotional barriers to achieve greater intimacy and sexual expression'.

Kat's role as a surrogate partner therapist means she is willing to have sex with one of the contestants if the relationship progresses to a point in which both are comfortable.
However, it seems Kat was not comfortable with a comment Zac made while they were both standing naked in front of one another.

Zac, a 28-year-old delivery driver, told her: "I want to move forward… I want to touch you and be touched by you."

But Kat pointed out that Zac was focusing primarily on touch.
Zac then made a comment which seemed to end the session entirely, telling Kat: "I came in here confident and excited, and I don’t know if you’re as used to that in this line of work and I don’t know if you find that intimidating."
Moments later, Kat told Zac to get dressed, concluding the session.

In a reposted story posted originally by fellow Virgin Island therapist, Aisha Paris, Kat opened up about feeling 'cringed' out over the episode in question.
"Kat and I just watched episode five and six," Aisha began.
Kat then revealed: "I cringed the whole time. I just cringed. But good, good, cringe."

"Good cringe! The best kind of cringe!" Aisha beamed. "The like, 'we're so proud of what we did, and we're so proud of the people' kind of cringe."
"Yeah," Kat agreed, before Aisha continued: "And 'how funny it is to see ourselves on TV kind of cringe', right?"
"Yep," Kat finished off. "That kind."
Tyla has reached out to Kat Slade for comment.
